Kazuko Habu was born in 1962 in Tokyo. She started playing drums at age of 22 and had studied with Ryojiro Furusawa. She joined Tetsu Saitoh's group STRINGS QUARTET AND ORCHESTRA and recorded STRINGS QUARTET OF TOKYO AND ORCHESTRA in 1990. She joined Koichi Hiroki's trio HIROKI THREE and they toured all over Japan performing at 110 places from 1992 to 1993. HIROKI THREE recorded an album, PREPARENSE in 1994. In the same year she toured with Lee Oskar, world famous harmonica player. In 1996 She made unique development with FOUR MIDGET that includes maestro Keizo Inoue. Now she is playing in HIROKI KOICHI QUARTET and her own SESSION SABAAY, that plays jazz and bossanova. In addition to her performing career, she is working as producer and director. She produced various concerts, events and jazz seminar for kids. In 1994 she directed CONTEMPORARY MUSIC CONCERT sponsored by JAPAN FOUNDATION, that toured three countries in Asia where Laos, Thailand and Korea. In 1998 she directed the album, SO QUIET/KOICHI HIROKI & TAKESHI SHIBUYA.



Nobumasa Tanaka was born 25 October, 1968 in Yokohama, JAPAN. He began to play Electone (YAMAHA Electronic keyboard) at the age of 4, switching to piano in his teens. He studied classical composition at the Kunitachi College of Music. After graduation he studied jazz piano with Masahiko Sato and Ichiko Hashimoto. Tanaka played professionally when he was college student and won first prize in the competition of YOKOHAMA JAZZ PROMENADE in 1993. Now Tanaka is playing with Takeo Moriyama, Koichi Hiroki, BO-JO EXIT and his own trio. He recorded SWIRL & CIRCLE, duo with Minako Arai and ORDINARY with BO-JO.
